New version of Shine MP3 Encoder using Alchemy 2

Hi Kikko,

Thank you so much for this original port of this C Shine MP3 encoder - it's really useful to me and I would love to see this project move forward to take advantage of the super speedy Alchemy 2 (now available in pre-release) which claims to reduce code by 75% and would undoubtably speed up the encoding process (which is the only problem I have with this original port).

The speed of encoding the MP3 from a WAV on a PC is great, however, encoding on the iPad is slow (1:30 minutes-ish for 7 - 8 10 second clips). We were hoping the iPad (3) would have a faster chip but alas no.

Enter Alchemy 2, which claims to be much faster and cut AS code down by 75%!

Do you have any plans to create a new port based on Alchemy 2 which is now in pre release? I really hope so! Your experience would no doubt be invaluable.

If not, could you provide any hints or tips on your experience on the 1st port so that someone else could have a bash?

Thanks so much for creating this port and I hope you can help out the community once again with a super speedy, Alchemy 2 Shine.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks,

Nick

Great question, the speed of conversion makes it useless in iOS and Android devices.
