Accessibility: unlabeled buttons while using talkback

Open shortwavesurfer2009 opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

When using the Talkback screen reader for android the highlighted buttons and elements either only read as "unlabeled" or "button". The screen reader can be enabled in android settings > accessibility

Now that #505 is merged, a tester ought to step through and list which buttons/widgets are still unlabelled

@shortwavesurfer2009 Are the ones above dealt with?

Some of them, yes. However, the descriptions are too wordy. For example

"Backspace Button. Deletes The Last Digit." Should just be "backspace"

"Notifications Button. Takes To Notifications Page." Only needs to be "notifications"

"Settings Button. Takes To Settings Page." Only needs to be "settings"

Etc, etc.

The enter button on the PIN screen is still unlabeled.

I have not yet had a chance to test the other bits
