Web UI: GPS Location/Map doesn't zero when GPS disconnected

Open Ergonomicmike opened this issue 8 years ago • 1 comments

  1. Stratux version: v0.7b2 with 16 commits + AvSquirrel's 60 second .js fix
  2. Stratux config: dual SDR, GPS yes (BU-353-S4), AHRS no, Anker, Anker cable.
  3. EFB app and version (iFly v9.4 beta). EFB platform (Andriod KK). EFB hardware (Asus ZenPad S 8, KK).
  4. Description of your issue:

Very small nit: Start with Stratux full up, GPS showing location on the web UI GPS/AHRS page. Then go to Settings and disable your GPS. Go back to the GPS/AHRS page. Your location will freeze where it last was (instead of saying "Disconnected" or blanking out) and there will still be an ownship icon on the map. This even tho the status page now shows that the GPS has been disconnected, per https://github.com/cyoung/stratux/issues/235. Same happens if you unplug the GPS.

I thought this might be related to the 3 kt hold before showing heading changes. But I drove around and movement doesn't make a difference. My guess is that the "disconnect" flag that tells the status page that the GPS is disconnected is not being seen by the GPS/AHRS page.

Now that I have an AHRS board, I report that the airplane symbol and heading/ pitch/roll numbers also freeze at their last position when AHRS is lost. (Either by disable or wire pulling off.) Nor does it come back when reenabled w/ soft switch. (At least not w/ LithuanianAmerican's board.)

(updated to clarify.)
