Saving screen crashes

Open jwevandijk opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Enjoying NativeAlpha+ very much using now a dozen web-apps. Among them a few Leaflet based geography apps. However, when I want to save a map (Leaflet-easyPrint) NativeAlpha sort of crashes and no map is saved. It works OK with Firefox and Chrome. Also Hermit does it perfectly but I very much prefer NativeAlpha. Have I overlooked a permission setting or something else? I use a Google Pixel 4a with Android 13 and a Samsung Tablet Android 11 both fully updated. Thanks for paying attention, cheers, Janwillem

Hm, probably something is not implemented yet to handle this correctly. I will look into it for the next release.

Adding to this, having the same issue on a Motorola Moto G82, updated to most recent FW, on web games that allow exporting/importing settings and savefiles. Below what I've been able to test off the top of my head:

  • LOADING/IMPORTING correctly opens up the phone's file browser to search for a file to choose (didn't have a saved file to check if the loading completes correctly...);
  • I expected SAVING/EXPORTING would do something similar (e.g. In my phone I would expect it to open the "Share With" popup to choose which file manager to save with), but the webapp hangs a couple seconds with the SAVE button in the "pressed" state and then abruptly crashes to home screen.

I've tried to allow Location Access through global settings in NativeAlpha app, to no avail.

I'm available to test potential solutions or workarounds if needed.

Thanks! Tanak
