Hello. I am a long time fan of cycfi research's work. I was curious about the construction of the pickup part of this nu capsule, but I do not see the "neodymium magnet, iron core, pickup coil, or permalloy ring" that is shown on the website. Can you please point me in the right direction to learn more about this? Are these off the shelf parts or custom machined? If they are custom made is there CAD information for the parts. Thanks!

Hi Bob, RIght. Well, these are not off the shelf parts, except for the neodymium magnet, which is kinda standard N52 disc types. We make these ourselves. We do have 3D drawings that I can place here.

That would be fantastic.

What are the rough specs on the coil? Size, inductance, etc? Would it be feasible at all to use off-the-shell inductor (SMD or throughhole) as a single string pickup?

You can find the specs here: https://www.cycfi.com/projects/nu-v2-capsule/

No, it is not possible to use off-the-shell inductors, or at least there's none that I know of that will fit the dimensions of the capsule and the magnet. I'm attaching the drawings for the coil.
