Release automation - Pack CLI (Milestone 1)

We would like to automate our release pipeline to speed up our release process We therefore need to come up with a design for things we want to automate to make our release and testing process easier and implement that design

Milestone 1

  • [ ] Create design for complete release automation and sit with infra to discuss how to overcome blockers
  • [ ] Spin up 4 machines (RHEL 7, 8, Windows, macOS) and pack executable and add to artifacts Open questions: Do I need to create a bat/ps1 script for Windows

Blocker: macOS is not available in our pipeline
