Post data to accurip

I am just wondering if there is any plan to submit entries to accurip DB aswell. Right now it's only requesting data from the accurip database without increasing the "confidence" counter.

Happy to be corrected, but from memory I don't think submissions to the Accuraterip database (as opposed to lookups) are possible other than when using a very select few Windows specific apps (EAC and dbpoweramp being the principal ones) as a consequence of them having the necessary approval to do from Illustrate Ltd, the company run by the developer of dbpoweramp.

I can see a logic as to why such limitations apply in some respects but think it more unfortunate that the CTDB operated by CUETools isn't more widely supported/accessible across apps (again licensing I assume) as this has some capacity to repair damaged tracks, under certain circumstances, as a result of parity data being uploaded after ripping, if the corresponding option is enabled. That's handy!

The author of this project noted severe issues with CTDB here https://github.com/cyanreg/cyanrip/issues/54#issuecomment-1657002502:

Its closed source, hasn't got specifications, it's badly executed, and there are dubious legal aspects to holding recovery data on a server and distributing it for free (these days even publicizing a checksum of copyrighted data is enough to get in trouble).

Sadly, this is out of scope, unless Accurip open up and document their API.
