Separate files by number of pages
When I am scanning a large batch of identical (with fixed number of pages) documents with duplex ADF, I want to group and save then into separate files without using Patch-T separators. This concerns usually just single-sheet forms (averse and reverse) or ordered dual sheet forms (pages 1,2,3,4).
In batch scanning dialog in "Output
" section when I select "Save to multiple files
" I want to have another , 4th option "Separate files by number of pages
" with additional input for number of pages per each file.
The effect will be that each time NAPS2 receives a fixed number of images from scanner, it will save them into a single multi-page document (TIFF or PDF)
Alternative mechanism of operation might be implemented as option to save image files grouped by number of images
from main program window («Save images
→ Image settings…
», in "TiFF options
" additional input "Number of images per file
".
But this can be just additional option separately and independently implemented and with large number of scans can be error-prone.
Cool idea. I might look into it, as I have the same issue sometimes with bigger projects with lots of pages. Would be nice to save them as batches of smaller files.
