Is it weird that the mask for first frame has ones in its center?

For the black mask used for the first frame stabilization, It is noted that the center part of this mask is filled with 1 while the other part is filled with 0. According to the data loader process in the training code, 1 represents the black border. It is a little weird that the center of a frame is the black region. Can you give some hints for this design?
