What is Team.mov ?

Open NikilXYZ opened this issue 5 years ago • 3 comments

I came across this and noticed that it is an array but not really documented in the wiki or in any of the other ESPN fantasy API sources. Was wondering what this field means and how it is indexed.

(I am trying to see what my league's records would be if everyone played their best starting lineup each week)

Thanks for making this library!!

That's a great question! team.mov is the margin of victory for each matchup played. It has only been used internally for power_rankings but is a array with the index being the matchup period (index 0 = week 1, index 1 = week 2).

Oh ok!

I don't understand why some of the weeks the MOV seems to be 0 in my league (even though someone clearly won that week). We have had no ties in the league.

Should my opponent's MOV be the negative of my MOV for a given week? (It is not)

That does seem incorrect. The one league I checked my MOV looked fine but let me check other teams to see if the same thing is happening!
