Label naming issue-perspective of someone who is reviewing and validating marine animal localizations made by other folks

Unless a localization label list is given, the second party validator or reviewer will have a difficult time going through all the localizations. This will be tedious if working with large image sets of marine animal localizations. As a validator, I find searching specific label names is more effective for quick bulk changes to split work into chunks.

Potential solutions:

  • Have a label favorites option ready to go for a project BEFORE folks start labeling objects. This way localizers can't make spelling errors or capitalization differences, which make it difficult to find that localization unless you go through all localizations page by page. Each localizer may call a marine animal something different (e.g. California Sheephead vs Sheephead).

  • Have an option on the corrections page where a list of all the labels made in this project will pop up on the right panel, giving the validator quick access to all of the localizations as a shortcut instead of searching for localization labels (e.g. Label: Leopard Shark & when you click on this, all localizations of these sharks will show). This may also help the reviewer keep track of which images have been looked through.
