Pending merge of dev/video_decoder_rework:

  • Extract out 'compat' mode into its own module. Might be nice to experiment with the frame callback method here, but it does advertise dropped frames, so using the existing functionality might be less error-prone.

  • Allow for database record, UI, or browser detect to use this module instead of the WebCodecs-based video-codec

  • Delete video-buffer-demux.js ( old MSE approach)
