Entity timeline expand toggle can shrink the area too aggressively

Problem Toggling the timeline expand button can sometimes continually shrink the controls/canvas area. In this state, the user has to refresh the annotator to fix it and access the controls. Example image:

Request Fix the functionality so that it doesn't continually shrink the area, no matter how many times the user toggles it.
