Improve annotation browser navigation/UI
Category Usability Issue
Problem
It is currently easy to get lost in the annotation browser and lose your spot. For instance, Back
is overloaded and users are likely pressing Back
when trying to switch between the associated track and detection (when they should be using the other go to button). The browser visually can be cleaner and easier to navigate; there is extra spacing and possibly too many different colors. There also might be too many icons without text. Some buttons and sliders are also not hiding when other controls are being accessed.
Request Perform UI improvements that address the problems listed above. Some examples would be:
- Reduce the spacing and colors
- Possibly put the options into nested menus that have text along with the icons
- Hide options when other controls are being accessed (e.g. hide entity slider)
I think it is worth doing a design review to address these concerns before fully implementing the solution.
