Any support for markdown latex math/equation extensions?

This looks great. Let me check if you can already do this via the extending markdown function in cuttlebelle. If not I’ll make sure I at least have a good stab at it :)

There's quite a variety of syntax: https://github.com/cben/mathdown/wiki/math-in-markdown. I tried many -- I don't think any worked in cuttlebelle. Does cuttlebelle have its own markdown engine or use another package?
