remote person entity has incomplete entity_picture attribute

Open killarny opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Remote person entities have an attribute like so:

entity_picture: /api/image/serve/f091aac3bb2a5b547c236fb8f234c6a0/512x512

This matches what the entity has on the remote HA, so it's correct in that sense -- however, that api url is useless to the client HA without also including the host information, making remote person entities show up with a blank picture:

image

Perhaps person entities could be translated a bit to prepend that value so it looks more like this:

entity_picture: https://<homeassistant-external-url>:<port>/api/image/serve/f091aac3bb2a5b547c236fb8f234c6a0/512x512

Similar interest here.

I have a Sonos media_player. The entity_picture is available on the source HA, but it not available on my remote instance. A solution like the above would achieve my needs. The entity picture from the source api needs to be proxied.

Otherwise, I've had great success with the remote-home-assistant project. Thanks team!

same here - I have two houses and like to be able to have a basic dashboard from the 2nd house, but the pictures do not show up on the first house. I found if you have the same pictures in both instances and use customize.yaml to override the picture to be the same on both HA instances it works properly.
