I'm on HA 0.111.2 and I'm getting the same error message in my logs

This has nothing to do with this repository, but with HACS.

A user opened an issue to blacklist button-entity-row, and that was done the same day.

It was blacklisted because not maintained anymore. As long as it works for you, you can keep it

For others that run into this, if you aren't able to add this as a custom repo, you can easily use a recent fork like https://github.com/Hypfer/button-entity-row. Worked well for me!

I have added the fork site into HACS custom repository and had it installed and rebooted. However my lovelace is still reporting that custom:button-entity-row element doesn't exist. I can see the button-entity-row.js in the www/community/button-entity-row folder though.

anyone can advise if I missed out any step to get back the button-entity-row ?
