Word Filter Suggestions
A few suggestions regarding word filters:
Either make the first letter of a filtered word automatically case sensitive, or make case sensitivity optional. For example, if "nigger" is filtered to "roody-poo", "Nigger" should be filtered to "Roody-poo" instead of "roody-poo". Where or not all-caps transfers over as well ("NIGGER" to "ROODY-POO" versus "Roody-poo") is not important imo, all that really matters is the first letter. The reason for this is because of the first word of a sentence. For example, if I write a sentence
Niggers stole my bike.
It should filter to
Roody-poos stole my bike.
as opposed to
roody-poos stole my bike.
Secondly, please give board owners the option to highlight filtered words in random colours in the same way that used to be done on halfchan/b/. Do this and I will love you 5ever.
Thanks!

I could probably do the wordfilter thing. As for the second thing, can you explain? I haven't seen this before.

Cool, thanks. I'm not sure how to test the code, but as for my second suggestion: on 4chan's /b/, years ago, the word filters changed the text color and also highlighted the text, and it was always in a random color. This applied to any word that was filtered (i.e. nigger to roody-poo, fag to candy-ass, penis to PENIS, mods to The Peoples Champions, etc). I believe the last time this existed on 4chan was 2011. These are the only screepcaps I could find: https://whitneym49.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/candy-ass-example-1.png https://whitneym49.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/anarchist-candyasses.png https://whitneym49.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/same-candy-asshing.png Sent using Hushmail On 24/03/2015 at 6:04 PM, "anonfagola" wrote:

@anon3140 I was just looking to do the very thing. I could pull it off with this script: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/contentcolors.htm and markup syntax. Only the background color - text color combination isn't truly random, but who's gonna know anyway. Still if anyone could modify the script for true randomness, that would be cool, tho.
