Freeze the old results
Please freeze past results (2024 and early). A group was international in 2024, but this month switched to another country and suddenly appeared high in last year’s ranking, breaking stats. Valgrind did not play as a Polish group in 2024.
If I change my nationality to another country, I could even be first in the previous years. greets.

I do see wrongdoing, because you’re changing the scoreboards from past years, and those should be static — not altered just because someone decided to switch their country.
CTFtime should block changing the country, because as I can see, people are abusing it. But it’s also CTFtime’s fault for not freezing the results.

- Accused us of being dishonest, scheming in the past and brought up our DQ back from 2024 (which was the cause of one person that got kicked). Funnily enough we both know your team got DQd way more recently,
- Accused us of switching country on ctftime to Poland to rank higher. Which doesn't make sense, because we could've also switched to let's say Germany and be 1st instead of 2nd. Just a pure projection of our motives which you have no idea about,
- Accused us of "doing this wrong way", but we haven't done anything bad and we don't have any bad intentions.

How were we supposed to know that you’re a Polish team, when you practically never played under the Polish flag? For 2 years you played as international, and now suddenly you’re Polish? Earlier I thought you were from the USA.
There should be changes in CTFtime’s logic so that such situations don’t happen. Whether it’s from your side or someone else’s.

Sarcasm is hard over text but you know what is not hard to see? How badly you want to live in a bubble. Some team that has real skills drops by to represent a country flag for fun. Instead of pride for your country, you are crying to ctftime admins. You need some self reflection on why this is a waste of everyone's time. There is no reason to implement a freeze. It might even be more of a headache for the admins. You only think about some old ahh ranking under the Poland flag.
It's 2025, we don't pay attention to that stuff, let alone rankings in 2024. We do notice when someone's going around trash talking on Discord and GitHub with lame shit posts and half hearted plea for attention.
This is not about the Polish flag or any other flag. It’s about the fact that teams, with such changes, distort the statistics. And as for you, you simply did it just to jump high in the ranking of a given country. But why only after 2 years — were you ashamed that the leader was from Poland? How many of you are actually from Poland? A few people at most. I’m curious if you are from Poland. I don’t think so. If it’s not possible to freeze the statistics, then the administrators should disable the option to change the country after one year.
