Unable to join team as first member

I tried joining the 'TwenteHackingSquad' team that was automatically created by ctftime.org, but the request has not changed from pending for a couple of weeks now. Could you please help me out?

Im having the same issue as my request to a different team is pending, the team has no members and I also cant create a new team with same name either
