Hello,

why have you modified kseq.h? Is it just for the support of gzip file handles? Maybe it would be good to give this upstream? Why have you changed the corner cases for EOF?

As a single developer for this work, it might be hard for me to track all changes upstream so I decided to use a frozen copy of the code. I don't think I changed kseq.h though. The upstream might have been changes. However, if I see good benefit for update code from upstream, I will update the code base too.
