Unable to stop Install Tracker service (app hangs)

Hi,

I am an uninstall tool user (not portable version). When using the program to trace installations I'm finding it frequently hangs prior to completion. Attempts to stop the trace manually do not work. The only option is to end the process which unfortuantely causes other issues (can't trace anything else, can't restart my computer - forced to turn it off then back on again with the power button to clear the issue). This happens approx one in every two to five times I use the program. I've tried reinstalling but that's made no difference.

The program is hanging right at the last step (see attached screenshot of a trace). What can I do to try remediating this issue?

Hi,

Looks like the app is unable to stop the Install Tracker service. I met this bug once couple of years ago but it's very difficult to reproduce (maybe it depends on certain computer parameters, installed software, etc). I'd be happy if you find a way to reproduce this problem on any machine.

Please try this test build, once the problem happens, please post here the log file located at: C:\Program Files\Uninstall Tool\UninstallTool.exe.log

Ok. I tried the test build. Same issue after several successfully traced installs. Log file requested attached. UninstallTool.exe.log
