The behavior shown seems to be very similar to that of issue #33.

I'm guessing LTSC 2016 doesn't have IDWriteFontFace3 and what we're doing to enable DirectWrite is QOperatingSystemVersion::current() >= QOperatingSystemVersion::Windows10 (so not gated to >LTSC 2016).

You may try finding that comparison in the file src\plugins\platforms\windows\qwindowsintegration.cpp and changing it to something more meaningful for your use case (or just removing it entirely).
