Recursive search in cryptomator vault

Open j-xella opened this issue 7 years ago • 3 comments

Basic Info

I'm using Android in version: …

I'm running Cryptomator in version: 1.0.5 (You can check the version in the Cryptomator settings.)

Description

Is it possible to do file search in the vault? By file name, size, date modified?

For desktop version, file managers can do it. But for android, there is no workaround ...

Currently an option to search is not implemented in Android. The iOS app has a feature to filter the files in the current directory. This option may follow in the Android app. I create #95 for this.

A search in the complete vault is another thing. This is something we may do on the long term but it is more complex because we will have to do directory listings on all directories which may take some time depending on network connection. It maybe that this is only feasible when we added local caching of files.

This is a must have. Switched to cryptomator recently. It's so anoying that I cant find my files now. I have about 200.000 files. Looking for a file manually is a pain. I have to decrypt my files again.

I feel 100% like you. I had a lot of pdf's and I really need a chance to find text-strings from theese PDF's or TXT-Files.

Is there no chance to create a fake-mounted-folder when the files are unlocked?
