Upload of folders
It would be awesome if the app can upload & sync an unencrypted folder automatically to a encrypted could storage.
I know this might be a big change ... just dreaming ;)
Edit This issue is now just about manual up- and download. For the suggested sync feature see #86
Edit 2 As downloading of folders is already available, this is just manual upload
Dreaming too, would love this feature 😀
This would be a good feature. Along the same lines, it would also be nice to be able to download/export a folder from a vault instead of having to select each individual file.
I would leave the sync part out of this issue because this really is a big change. I created #86 for this.
This issue will be about manual upload and download of folders - which might be an improvement for now and isn't that much effort to implement.
That would be a GREAT feature! I tried to work around this by writing directly new folders in the switchdrive folder but this is dirty
Hello :) Any news about this feature ?
Would love to see this implemented. As is I'm creating each folder manually, and then uploading the contents of each folder one at a time. Can be time consuming to do.
Huge +1 on this. Even if not auto syncing local folders with Cryptomator, as a v1 solution can atleast the ability to upload folders be added to CM? If the folder has nested folders/files, then Cryptomator must ideally respect the directory structure and upload corresponding folder's all files to the vault. Could this be done atleast as a v1? I know syncing would be awesome but I was thinking if in case that might be a much bigger change than just allowing to upload basic folders, then probably latter could be added earlier? It's a big pain to upload nested folders currently to CM, especially when the number of contents are huge with all sorts of nested folders etc. @SailReal
Is this difficult to implement or low priority? Issue has been opened since 2017 and users are having to find alternatives to cryptomator.
This is a basic feature for Android. Why can I export several files and folders from a Cryptomator vault but not for uploads to the vault? Single file upload is not very practical and does not motivate to use Cryptomator as a default data encrptor :(
Cryptomator for android is the the only paid version. I really would appreciate this basic feature to be implemented.
6 years.... still no Android SAF. Took our money and ran, clearly they have absolutely NO intention of desire to implement folder upload.
Why did boxcryptor have to die? It was THE ONLY android encryption software solution that worked as you expect it to.
We understand that the lack of progress on this particular feature is frustrating. Cryptomator is developed by a very small team, and we are trying to make the best out of our limited time and resources. We ask for your patience until we get to doing this.
Please also keep this project's code of conduct in mind.
Thanks for your support and patience.
