Improved auto-update

Have an auto-update process that doesn't involve redownloading and rerunning the installer.

Can we also ensure that it doesn't try downloading the file when you are uploading the new one? I've run into several instances when I want the newest build the moment you are posting it...and...I get incomplete download after incomplete download until your build is fully posted. :)

What happens now when people try to connect using an outdated version? It connects, or gives some error?
