A metric endpoint would be helpful to monitor the load and system health. Prometheus defaults would be nice already

Agreed!

Some custom counter metrics that come to mind:

  • Enforced violations by policy
  • Non-enforced violations by policy

I'd like to see this too - helm chart could then optionally create ServiceMonitor components necessary to scrape, and PrometheusRules necessary to alert on (for example) unusual changes in enforced/non-enforced violations by policy
