Audacity uses `storage.download_cache` to make offline builds possible on Linux. Removing it will be definitely a deal breaker for us.
And x42 as well
The very same applies to Qt. However I don't think that this problem is related to cmake-conan. For Qt we had to tweak the recipe so it creates "portable" packages...
It appears that issue is back, I don't really know why.
TBH I don't understand when and how it went wrong, the fix seems to be embarrassingly simple...

Bugs with Cloud label are not present in master or any opened PR so far. And fingers crossed - the all will be fixed before that :-)
Wayland is not an option for wx based Audacity anyway. Attempt to fix that resulted in 25k lines, so I don't think that we will fix any issues in Audacity...
