Base papaja template won't stitch to pdf

Hello! I've recently updated my RStudio and now my papaja apa_6 doc won't knit to pdf. I opened an entirely new papaja doc, made no edits, and attempted to knit it thinking I had done something wrong in my own file, and the template produced the exact same error (see screenshot).

R version 4.0.4 (2021-02-15) Platform: x86_64-apple-darwin17.0 (64-bit) Running under: macOS 12.4
