If you are interested in contributing to the localization of the Pdx-Unlimiter, you can take a look here to see the current status for each language. You can also post here, if you want to be assigned for a language. You can open the translation file directory by clicking on Translate in the menu bar.

How To

  • Check if your language is already listed in the file languages.json. If not, add the language id and the two-letter language code (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes) to the list.

  • Create copies of the english translation files and rename the language suffix

  • Add your translated strings to the files

  • Test them out by restarting the Pdx-Unlimiter and selecting your language in the settings menu. (Also uncheck "Use game language" to always use your chosen language.)

  • In case you want to know what strings are used where exactly, change to the Language Helper language in the settings menu. It will show the raw strings used.

  • Submit them either here or on Discord

Note

This directory gets overwritten when a Pdx-Unlimiter update is downloaded. Always make backups of your translation files!

yo polish the problem is that theres no official polish version of eu4 and thus all the countries are "unknown" (I presume you take the names directly from the game files) which I can see is also apparent in i.e. the japanese localization you'd probably need to somehow make the program use the english names instead of looking for the polish ones

Thank you for providing the translations. I should be able to default to english names without problems. By the way, you can create a proper pull request if you want so you will be able to be seen in the contributor list.

I think you created a pull request for your forked repository. You are almost there, the pull request has to be created for this repository
