Firebot In-app Updater Doesn't Update Start Menu Shortcut in Windows 10

Open CrowbarToolsRobot opened this issue 8 months ago • 1 comments

Description

The Firebot app updater doesn't update the Firebot start menu "Start In" folder path, nor delete the previously-existing folder in %LOCALAPPDATA%\firebot\app-old-version. This is different than the behavior seen from running the installer locally.

Steps to Reproduce

Expected Behavior

Firebot Start Menu shortcut to update Start In folder location, and remove previous Firebot install.

Firebot Version

v5.64.0

Steps to repro:

  1. Install Firebot v5.64.0-beta1 and launch the application.
  2. Wait for it to automatically update to v5.64.0.
  3. Check the Start Menu shortcut, and note that the Start In folder still points to beta-1.
  4. Check the %LOCALAPPDATA%\firebot folder and note that app-5.64.0-beta1 sub folder exists alongside app-5.64.0 folder.
