[Bug] StreamElements JWT token expiring and not auto-regenerating

Open Lordmau5 opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • [X] I have searched the existing issues

Current Behavior

To use StreamElements the user has to put in their JWT token. As of a few months ago StreamElements is only generating JWT tokens that are valid for 1 month, probably for security reasons.

However, this means that the user needs to update their token once every month - if they forget then it is very likely that StreamElements integration is not working.

Expected Behavior

The token should auto-regenerate or maybe be switched to an OAuth token.

I've asked on their Discord and got linked a few things: image

Also experiencing this. I have many events connected to streamelements, so it would be nice to have this fixed.

I actually got this info from a friend about a month ago Screenshot_20240919_074339_Discord

So while still annoying, it's at least only necessary once every 6 months (instead of every month)

True, not as annoying, but still just a little bit so.
