Allow use of Custom Variable for the Duration of a Custom Variable

Can we extend this to allow variables in all durations and include custom variables. there are many use cases where using a static number is ok, but that are a few examples of using variables of all types as a duration can be useful

Edit: for example play sound effect for x , play video for x show image for x show text for x delay x
and TTL x Seconds

where x is is a constant variable but then math can be applied to allow for x-2 or x/2 and so on..
