Plex Hub items from a playlist not registering as being played
if I play a video from a playlist under Plex Hub in PlexKodiConnect, the server doesn’t seem to recognize that an item from the playlist was played. As a result, that playlist doesn’t move to the left under “Recent Playlists” in any other Plex client. Is this something that could be fixed or implemented? Obviously, this is not a major problem, but having that aesthetic consistency in other apps would be nice.
Is this definitely confined to playlists? I have just set up PfK (with direct paths.) Everything seems to work fine with one exception. Having set up widgets for On Deck, Continue Watching, Recently Added etc... Playback from there seems to exhibit the same behaviour and Plex doesn't recognise that anything as played back. May be unrelated and it may be that I don't have my setup quite right.
@HitsvilleUK You mean PlexKodiConnect? Because this is not PfK here.
Please share a debug log file as explained here: https://github.com/croneter/PlexKodiConnect/wiki/How-to-Report-A-Bug
Right now this issue is 100% confined to playlists
Yeah sorry I did indeed mean PKC. I'm gonna do a wipe of Kodi of my Shield first. I also run Emby and with Emby for Kodi it worked as expected.. but I really wanna stay with Plex. If I still see the same thing after the wipe I will get some logs, but it can most likely be put down to me not having it set up right.
All good after a reinstall and more careful reading. Windows Server: Enable Plex UNC paths... Disable Replace Plex paths...
I had both of these enabled by mistake.
I thought I'd provide some clarifying information here.
If a video is played from a playlist from Plex Hub, the server will know that the video has been played. The issue is that the Playlist itself will not forward in the "Recent Playlists" list in any app or the "Recent Playlists" folder in PKC itself. IE, if I play something from a playlist in the third position in "Recent Playlists", the playlist does not then move to the first position as it would on iOS, the web app, etc. From what I recall, the same behavior affects playlists synced to PKC from the config option. As someone who uses many, many playlists to watch and rewatch material, this feature is definitely something I miss from other Plex apps.
