Explosion Calculator & Follow-Up Damage (Fragmentation)

Open Fallonistic opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

For context, if a bomb explodes in the middle of a group of say, 5 characters who stands different distance from ground zero, it would take a while to apply damage to each of them.

It would be a time-saver if it's possible to calculate or apply damage to all of the 5 characters, based on the centerpoint of the explosion.

And in following up to fragmentation grenades, it would also be a great addition to also have the effective skill roll (15) and the "RoF" of fragments hitting the target (B415).

Perhaps with follow-up, a check-box might include if the explosion is also fragmentation and being able to roll within the ADD itself.

Since it's related to this issue, I'll post it here. Here's a possible workflow for how to handle explosion damage in GGA.

The SS soldier lobs a grenade.

  1. When rolling any damage with ex and/or [d], have the card display it in the following fashion: image

The distinction between A and B is important, since only direct hits against a target apply the damage's armor divisor. The other important feature is the "Set target hex" button.

  1. The Set target hex button is drag and drop button. The user or GM will drag it to the correct hex. It will then serve as the basis for the calculations that will follow: image

  2. Optionally, draw a shape in the map indication which hexes are affected: image

  3. The user can now drag and drop the damages (A, B and C on the first image) to each token, and have it behave something like this: image

That's it!

I vouch for this one too! We need more calculators, they are killer!
