Can't use brackets ([]) in key combinations anymore

I used to be able to use brackets for shortcuts to emulate Mac OSX on Linux

Command + [ (Go back) Command + ] (Go forward)

I can't do these anymore because it wants a "letter"

same I want to use ctrl + [ and ctrl + ]

Same here. I want to memic safari's alt+shift+] and alt+shift+[ from next and previous tabs.

Any update on this?
