[Suggestion] add a feature to log one's own track
Not yet sure if recording your own track is useful to have inside the app as you can just fire up your own gpx recorder - recording the whole cm on the other hand is something I would find interesting and maybe implement. Not yet sure about a good UX for this though.
I would have to install, and to start, a second app. I don't have a "gpx recorder" installed - why not let criticalmaps write a simple gpx log file with timestamp as filename everytime criticalmaps is started?

I do not want to install two apps - I want to join a Critical Mass - what I do regularly - and track my route using a single app.
I think this could be a feature in the future and if someone implements it in a sensible way I'd have no problem with getting it merged. For me personally this has low priority for the reasons ligi brought up.

Maybe at some point - but my time is rather limited. This might have some synergy with the sternfahrt overlays in regard to parsing/writing gpx data. So maybe after that.
