Button highlight does not stay if you aren't moused into the toolbar

Description

When you select a basic styling button (Bold, Italic, etc.), the button does not stay highlighted when you click into the active text field (or does not highlight at all when you use a keyboard shortcut).

In addition, the highlight is very subtle, is there a way to turn that into a higher contrast highlight within settings?

Steps to reproduce

1. Create an entry with a redactor field
2. Click on the bold button and then click in the text area (or hit keyboard shortcut)
3. Result is no way to tell if the bold is being applied until you type.

• Plugins & versions: Redactor 2.6.0.1, Redactor Custom Styles 3.0.3
• Tested in the latest versions of Safari and Chrome

Can you update to the latest Redactor version and see if that is still an issue? You are on Redactor 2.6.0.1, while the current latest is 2.8.8.
