Cannot import assets

Open lucosius opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Everything was working just fine a week ago but now I cannot import assets from the URL that comes from Google Sheet. Any ideas?

Hi, thanks for reaching out! I can't replicate this using the file URL and name from the error you posted. Are you still experiencing this issue?

I'm currently experiencing the same issue with Feed Me 6.8.0.

In our case the images are on an environment with basic-auth so I've added the necessary config to feed-me.php:

'clientOptions' => [
    'headers' => [
        'User-Agent' => 'Craft FeedMe',
        'Authorization' => 'Basic ***'
    ]
],

But that didn't solve the issue. When visiting an image URL it just shows the image. So I'm not sure whats causing the issue.

I've just had this happen to me. Picked up a project after leaving it alone for a couple of months. Previously it had imported all the images flawlessly but now it says: figure - Asset error: https://mydomain.test/assets/images/content/articles/filename.jpg - The file “filename.jpg” does not appear to be an image.

I'm on Valet (4.8.7) on MacOS 15.5. Latest Craft CMS (5.7.8.2)

Hi there,

I've also run into this issue and started getting a The file “filename.jpg” does not appear to be an image. error all of a sudden.

I downgraded Feed Me from 6.8.0 to 6.7.0 and the images started imported correctly again.

I’m encountering the same (or a very similar) issue. When trying to import images with Feed Me, I get this error for every image:

The file "filename.jpg" does not appear to be an image.

In my case, the images are stored locally inside another DDEV project. If I configure Feed Me to pull images from a remote site, it works most of the time. Though around 5–10% of assets still trigger the same error.

I’ve already tried downgrading to Feed Me 6.7.0, but that didn’t solve it for me.

Are there any other configuration changes I could try?
