Requiring plugin via composer results in dependency errors
Description
I can install this plugin through the plugin store just fine, but when trying to install via composer as outlined in the readme, it results in the following error:
Using version ^1.2 for craftcms/aws-s3
./composer.json has been updated
Running composer update craftcms/aws-s3
Loading composer repositories with package information
Updating dependencies
Your requirements could not be resolved to an installable set of packages.

- Root composer.json requires craftcms/aws-s3 ^1.2 -> satisfiable by craftcms/aws-s3[1.2.0, ..., 1.2.15].
Use the option --with-all-dependencies (-W) to allow upgrades, downgrades and removals for packages currently locked to specific versions.
Installation failed, reverting ./composer.json and ./composer.lock to their original content.
Steps to reproduce
- From project directory, run
composer require craftcms/aws-s3
Notes
- I also attempted to install using the composer binary included in Craft rather than my system one (running
./vendor/bin/composer require craftcms/aws-s3
), which resulted in the same error.
Additional info
- Craft CMS version: 3.7.16
- Amazon S3 plugin version: 1.2.15
- PHP version: 7.4.21

Can you, please,
- nuke the vendor folder
- delete the composer.lock file
- run
composer update
- Try requiring the plugin again?
Same issue with a clean install
Not a proper fix, but I had this issue in August and was able to make the install work by spec'ing an older version. If it's the project I think it is then I used v1.2.12.
