I don't personally like the text editor built into VPKEdit. I'd like to be able to open files directly using the default program associated with that file type, rather than extracting the file to a random folder myself and opening it that way. This extends to all file types, not just .txt.
This should mimic GCFScape's double-click behavior where it extracts the file to the temp folder then opens that.
"Open editable copy" could also be feasible, though dangerous to most people. Maybe VPKEdit should prompt the user to confirm changes made to the file if brought back in window focus, if this were to be implemented. If the user declines then the file is treated as temporary again, so no more prompts are made for that file.
