To pretend to be the REAL NTVDM compatible environment it is not enough to return 5.50 in genuine version. You have to change some internal structures as CDS and SFT to they NT variants too. And old versions of ms-dos player do not have this "enhancement" which is correct as we try to emulate MS-DOS, not NTVDM.
