When pausing the player from the notification bar and hitting the next button - closes the player

There seems to be a small bug where if you pause the player through the notification bar and then click the next button(to go to the next item in the playlist), the player closes(stops) and the notification disappears completely - all done through the nitrification bar. I am running Android 4.3 on a Galaxy S3 device.
