Icons overlap with text

Open JustJoostNL opened this issue 1 year ago • 14 comments

The icons in the rundown overlap with the text. I have a pretty big screen, so this shouldn't be the problem. image image

When I open the rundown manually (/rundown page), it does show the icons correctly. image

Hi @JustJoostNL thank you for this.

Do you happen to have some idea on recreate the issue?

cpvalente avatar May 12 '24 13:05 cpvalente

This is just a fresh instance of Ontime V3. And this occurs when creating a new event.

Also shows up in #941

I haven't figure out how to consistently recreate this. It just shows up sometimes.

lukestein avatar May 12 '24 14:05 lukestein

Ah interesting, for me it is consistent.

Hi @JustJoostNL, I am unable to replicate the issues, do you mind sending a screengrab of what you see along with details on your OS and browser versions?

cpvalente avatar May 12 '24 17:05 cpvalente

Yes, @cpvalente:

Browser: Firefox 125.0.3 OS: Windows 11 23H2 OS Build 22631.3447

I have tested on win 11 / Firefox 125.0.3 and can't get it to do that

What is your monitor resolution and scaling? And can you get it to go away and reappear by resizing the window?

alex-Arc avatar May 13 '24 13:05 alex-Arc

Hi @alex-Arc

My display resolution is 1920x1080, and scaling is at 100% (normal) I am unable to get it go away and reappear by resizing the window (issue is persistent)

JustJoostNL avatar May 13 '24 14:05 JustJoostNL

Interesting: On another PC of me: Windows 10, Firefox 125.0.3, resolution 1680x1050, 100% scaling. The issue doesn't occur, and the icons display like normal.

For someone seeing this later on:

We are aware of the issue but are currently unable to recreate it consistently. If you are able to, we would appreciate steps for recreating the issue.

Extra points if you would like to inspect the CSS and propose a fix, this should be straightforward once we pinpoint the issue

Meanwhile, refreshing the page seems to solve the issue

Doesn't for me. Can I already help with inspecting CSS/HTML?

Hi!

Yes! It looks from your profile that you should be able to figure it out easily.

The elements that are overflowing are all the same, so it should be easy enough to find the issue

I can replicate this issue reliably on Chrome 124.0.6367.201 on Ubuntu 23.10 on a high resolution monitor as well (3840x2160).

nice, lets chat

cpvalente avatar May 22 '24 05:05 cpvalente

Sorry @cpvalente , might have spoke too soon. Seems like if you refresh now on the editor screen the inputs with the button get put back to center aligned and start to inch toward overlapping.
