CrossRef: Error while processing request: (biblio--url-error http . 404)
Hi everyone,
the bliblio library works very good, thanks for writing it and keeping it up to date.
Unfortunately, on one of my computers the crossref and the dissemin interface do not work. The other three do work without any problems. In the case of crossref and dissemin I always get the error: biblio--url-error http . 404
I have set the variable url-debug to t and requested something from crossref, you can see the content of the buffer *URL-DEBUG* here

I am wondering if it is related to the set of ssl certificates, which can be found `/etc/ssl/certs/'. I am using an arch linux and emacs 26.3. Do you any ideas?

Hi, and thank you for your quick answer. I just checked if I can access the address with my browser, and yes I can. The mailto appears in the address, because I have set the following variable:
(setq biblio-crossref-user-email-address "[email protected]")
I guess that this is something, that is related to the following wish of the CrossRef developers. https://github.com/CrossRef/rest-api-doc#etiquette
Probably, there is more that I have to say, that you can help. I am behind a proxy, but emacs recognizes the system proxy and this works in all cases. And setting the proxy in my .emacs file does not change the situation:

The computer on which biblio works is not behind this proxy. And I have checked if the computer on which biblio works and the one where does not work have the same digicert certificates in the /etc/ssl/certs/ folder, and yes they have same certs. I just checked if it works with a newer Emacs version, and it does. I tested Emacs Version 28.0.50. I am very unsure about this, but it might be related to the following problem with tls and emacs 26.1 https://www.reddit.com/r/emacs/comments/cifrqf/eww_not_loading_certain_pages_usually_port_443/
I tried to deactivate tlsv1.3 but I did not succeed. Do you have any ideas?

I'm using emacs 27.1 and I'm seeing the same error message, though eww is able to access the url.

I also installed Emacs 27.1, but in my case the error vanished. That's really strange.
It seems to work now... I'm sorry but I'm not sure what was the problem, especially since at the same time eww was getting the json back from the same call...
