Strava constantly responds with rate limiting error

Open halleck1 opened this issue 4 years ago • 7 comments

Whenever I am trying to sync RunKeeper to Strava tapiriik.com always responds with "Strava is limiting the number of API requests on your behalf" message.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I have the same issue, yet with a different message. I have only one activity to upload, yet Strava keeps fussing about the limit.

Strava: Some services limit how many actions tapiriik can perform on your behalf per hour - more activities will transfer soon.

I'm having the same issue as @JayJay65.

A potential workaround is to change the happened before date to a more recent date (making sure your new activities are still in this interval of course). This will make the amount of calls to Strava significantly lower.

I gave up on tapiriik because of this (even though I've paid). Switched to SyncMyTracks which works flawlessly.

Ow thanks! That seems like a cool application (SyncMyTracks). I was not aware of that one!

I'm struggling a lot with tapiriik as well. Will have a look at SyncMyTracks.

-- edit -- Argh, I'm an iOS user :-( ... so no support for me :-(

Have a look at RunGap - https://www.rungap.com/

They're iOS

Can this tool record activity in Strava and sync it to other platforms? It seems like the recording should happen in RunGap, and from there on distributed to the other platforms?

I didn't actually use the tool myself, just remember it from investigating for my own sync purposes
