From Dropbox to Strava -> no activities

Open lukasamd opened this issue 6 years ago • 4 comments

Hello, I tried to sync my activities from Dropbox to Strava, but it doesn't work. Steps which I did:

  1. Authorize strava on tapiriik
  2. Authorize dropbox on tapiriik
  3. Upload all my activities (fit, gpx, tcx files) into "/apps/tapiriik/cycling" directory on Dropbox account
  4. Sync -> no results

Also tried to get full access in Dropbox an manually set directory i.e. tried /apps/tapiriik and also /apps/tapiriik/cycling but without results.

What do I wrong?

Also the reverse seems to do nothing. I aimed at having a backup of my Strava activities on Dropbox. After manually syncing, the Apps/tapiriik folder remained empty.

UPDATE: after a few sync runs, things seems to start syncing, but not determenistically correct. In a certain sync session, the first batch of activities going back to 2014 until 23 Feb 2019 where detected in my Strava, but did not sync to Dropbox. In a later sync session, the activities from 25 Feb 2019 until today where detected and synced correctly to Dropbox.

How can I get the first batch of activies to re-sync to Dropbox?

I'm no expert, but I'd wait until the issues with Strava have been fixed before trying to set up anything new.

After enabling Sync untagged activities in the Tapiriik Dropbox configuration settings, all my Strava activities were archived correctly to Dropbox.

"Strava: There was a problem indexing your activities on Strava, so no activities will be uploaded to Strava."
