We've got `bind` for this now, since 9.0.0.
Going to move this off the 9.0 milestone. I think Dask performance isn't a blocker.

Yep, I think we can probably remove some of those operations, and suggest alternatives when deprecating where possible.
+1 on fixing it in 9.0.0.
We'll address this, as it's a big change, but 9.0.0 has a bunch of other things we need to get out so I'm moving off that milestone.
