Can you get rid of the btcsuite usage and use gcash/bchd and gcash/bchwallet?

I would like to propose this and possibly contribute in the future because I am having a lot of trouble implementing this in my current project, even though this is exactly what I was looking for. Tell me what you think.. advantages and disadvantages!
