[feature request] There should be more options for received attachments

When receiving attached files I wish I have this choice:

  • Download this attachment / Download all attachments
  • Save this file to my cozyfiles

Next release will add a download link to every attachment. How would you like to “download all” to be ? A link ? A menu item ?

Saving attachments into Files is in our Todo list. (also, allowing to attach file from Files to new email)

Nice, thanks, code warriors

I would say a button with a dropdown "Download all attachments / Save all attachments to my cozyfiles" would be great

Recent Ui changes (#270) have restyled the attachments dropdown in the header view. We can definitely add a last "save all" button that transfer a zip containing all attachments.

transfer a zip containing all attachments.

Why not saving all docs seperatlty in the files app? (to a preset folder or with a manual selection of folder)

@clochix is actually working on an extension for emails that supports saving in Files app. In fact, we should offer two saving way: save to Files app or Download. This choice should be not pre-setted but offered by 2 different links. This because I may want to save some attachments sometimes, but prefer to download them on my computer other times (e.g. when some partner send me documents I need to edit). We can use fa-cloud-upload icon for saving to Files, and fa-download for download.

Also it would be great if we can attach files right from cozy files :)

Hi @fairyfeller, This is definitively on our roadmap, we had some working proof of concept allowing to add photos of files from Cozy into a message. Unfortunately, the code and UX need some more work, so it's disabled for now, but we hope to re-enable it soon.
